VISION: a Communicative Necklace (2019)

VISION is a speculative necklace design created for wearers in the future to communicate between different languages and cultures with the help of visual holographic projections. Visual cues set VISION apart from current translating earbud technologies that obscure the speaker's voice. Instead, VISION uses visuals while retaining audio of what is said to create a more personal connection. The necklace fosters closer relationships between all kinds of people, regardless of the language spoken or culture of origin, helping create a more interconnected and empathetic society. Presented in the form of a user guide, the project considers how future technology can impact human interaction in a positive way.
